Im reallly into sewing does any one know any good templates?

I need a blank template, with just the lines to be a guideline. I could also use Paint. I need it to be quite economic and fit the more bookmarks as its possible on each sheet. (The paper I would be using is 12 x 12 inches)

I made a template on Excel but when I print it out it comes out lopsided, or long on one side. I have measured, aligned, double checked and it keeps coming out wrong!!It is for a wedding and I want to be able to customize it to my likings.

It’s an monthly newsletter only about 8 page or nine depending on how much information they have. As far as I know it’s in black and white sent out monthly.
How much should I charge hourly, If not hourly fixed-fee price?
I was wondering if I was to sent this for printing would I to have to pay for printing and shipping?
I need helpful suggestions or question to ask client if working for them and what are these helpful hints?
Please I need advice since I’m new to this but have been working in company as a graphic designer and this is more of a freelance work.

I know regions differs but I live in a City so I’m guessing that makes a bit difference on price too.
I also got a 4yr degee BA in field to if this helps a bit.

i’m at work and i have to design a newsletter for kids to take to their parents and the layout has to be in primary colors. i’m having zero luck coming up with anything that’s not ridiculously cheesy…advice?
i’m working in illustrator right now, but i have photoshop and indesign as well
