I see con’s to all the possibilities I’ve come up with:

Chris Duncan
Director
Smith Widgets, Inc.
gives appearance there is only one director in Smith Widgets

Chris Duncan
Director of the Board
Smith Widgets, Inc.
could be misconstrued to mean the board has exactly one director and several other titled positions.

Chris Duncan
Board of Directors
Smith Widgets, Inc.
is not a title.

Chris Duncan
Member
Board of Directors
Smith Widgets
unnecessarily long.

So does anyone know the proper way to indicate I am one of 5 of the Board of Directors?

Quickbooks 2008 – Change Company Info for email invoices?

Hi everyone!

I changed the name of my company a couple of months ago, but kept all the same accounts info. Everything is fine, no problem, except the invoice email template. It insists on including the old company name in the outgoing email subject line and the sign-off within the email itself, even though I have changed the company details in the Quickbooks company info area. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. Please help!

The info on the actual invoice is fine. What is still showing the old company info is the info being shown in the email template that it creates.

How to create a company library of books, materials, tools, templates, etc for company-wide employee access?

I want to create a library where the employees can store books and any new materials (binders, tools, templates, files, etc) created by different people in the company for reference so that every time someone does not have to waste time to create something new and can refer to the materials in the library. I want to build good intellectual capital so that employees dont have to re-invent the wheel and utilize their time efficiently. Can someone please help me with how to start this process in my company’s corporate office? Thanks.

Introducing new employee in company newsletter?

I am drafting our comapny newsletter and am having a bit of a problem. I have to both announce the passing of one employee and introduce her replacement. The layout is such that these items will most likely be right next to each other.

I did not say what position our departed employee held because I don’t want to draw attention to why one of our new employees was hired. Is there some sort of protocol here? This is only the 2nd newsletter we’ve done – and what a crappy thing to have to announce!! Any help would be great. Thanks.
Would it make more sense to not announce the new hires until the next quarter? We’re a very small company, so even with my deletion of the deceased employees position, it will be pretty obvious who her “replacement” is. Is it wise to announce a new hire right away, anyway?
