alright ive had to a whole lotta this… first just introduce yourself, and establish your role in the band. say you are interested in a gig, describe your style of music and maybe list some other shows that you have done. If you have done other shows, give the number of the person who booked you last for reccomendations. If they are interested, then you can discuss payments in the next email.

just try to be as polite as possible and gain the respect of the person addressed, and all should go according to plan.
