I sometimes lose the graphics when I save an e-mail to My Documents. Am told that by using HTML, I will eliminate this problem

You can save as HTML by choosing it as the file type when saving (web page complete). I do not believe it will save any attachments. It may save inline pictures. Note that a complete web page is multiple associated documents, not just a single page.
The only way to guarantee saving a complete email on your computer is to use a standalone program such as Outlook Express. That would require Yahoo Mail Plus.
