the template needs to say things like address, contact, tel number etc. Every time i open it I will put the details after each and send it to someone in my contact list. Can this be done?

On first sight, Yahoo! Mail does not support message templates. But you can employ the Draft folder as you templates repository.
To use message templates in Yahoo! Mail:
Compose your new message template as a new message.
Save it as a draft.
To compose a new message starting from the template:
Go to the Draft folder.
Select Folders from the left navigation bar and then Draft.
Click on the subject of the template you want to use.
Compose, modify and send your message as usual.
The template in the Draft folder is not affected and can be used again in the same way.
