How do I put artwork on a PDF template file?

For album artwork, I need to put scanned artwork on a template on a PDF file.
What program/software should I use and how would I do it?
I was given templates to put album artwork on. They are PDF files and has templates for the actual CD and the album artwork.
I’m planning to scan the artwork after it is done. I need to submit the artwork on these PDF templates and am completely lost how to do so.

First, what are you using the scanned image for?
If you need to place the image onto a PDF template, you’ll need to either save it as a PDF, or save it as a JPG/GIFF/TIFF and place it onto the PDF file. You could use Photoshop or Illustrator to do this.

Ok, scan your image and save as a JPG. Then right click, or apple click the file, and Convert to PDF. Then you can crop the file (if needed) and save it as a PDF.
