I’m doing a book report on the book “Downriver” and it’s in the format of a newspaper. I need some ideas.
October 23rd 2009
I’m doing this project on publisher with the newsletter layout.
I have to have two front page articles which I already have. I have to have an editorial, advice column (I already have), book review on that book, 2 advertisements, and three extra items (i have a word search with words from the book). I can’t come up with any ideas for the other things.
This book is about whitewater rafting down the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon.

bk review frm a girl called ‘kate’: I read Downriver by Will Hobbs. It’s about a girl named Jessie who was sent to a program for teenagers that is in Colorado. There she has an adventure of a lifetime going through challenges she never thought she would have to face.
Jessie meets many other different unique teenagers in the Discovery Unlimited program. There’s Adam, who is always joking around and never takes anything seriously. Pug who can never seem to think for himself; Heather, a girl from the city; Star a girl whose lived on the streets for a good portion of her life’ Troy, a very serious troubled young man; Freddy, who never voices his own opinion, and Al, this adult supervisor.Early on in the book the teens begin to love the river rafting the most. They begin to rebel against Al and eventually run off to do much harder rivers, which Al thought was too dangerous. During this adventure, the teenagers must join together to survive the river, the outdoors, and most of all their selves. This book is mainly about people learning about their actions and consequences. The plot to me doesn’t seem realistic, but everyone who reads it can identify with a character. I would recommend this book most to people who enjoy adventure-style books.
as 4 the advertisement, u can write an intro of the bk , leavin’ many unexplained things so readers get interested…
hope i helped =D
