I know this is a stupid question, but with the templates for jack-o-lanterns, do you just kind of look at it and copy or do you tape it to the pumpkin or what? I’ve never done it that way before and just don’t want to mess up on my first try. Any tips would be great!

I used a template for the first time tonight.
I sellotaped it onto the pumpkin and also when i was cutting around it i held it down securely with my other hand as well.
It was easier than i thought it would be.

you print them out or rip them out of a book. THen you pin it on the pumpkin and use a pumpkin carving knife and cut along the lines of the template.Lastly, take it off and ta da! you have a perfect pumpkin it is not too hard but i suggest being careful. Please give me points 4 this!

Tape on pumpkin and trace with dots from a pin, or Lightly cover back of template with carbon(PENCIL Scribble) and place against pumpkin and trace you will get a light outline that you can go over.
