When approving a message, how can I change it to a Special Notice?
September 10th 2009
I send out a monthly newsletter to my group and want to send it as a Special Notice. It’s in .pdf format so I email it to the groups address and then approve it, and then it’s sent to the members. But when I approve messages, there’s no option to make them a Special Notice. The only way to send something Special Notice is to post the email from the Group page, but then I can’t include an attachment.
Are there any work arounds?
Thanks,
Mike

no, not unless you can send it some how Rich-Text Editor (Beta) and using Can I use HTML tags or CSS properties in my Yahoo! Groups messages?
from a pending message, you cant make it a Special Notice.

1. Post the message with the attachment, or upload the PDF to your ‘Files’ area.
2. Post a separate Special Notice email directing members to it.
Not perfect, but, hey – it’s a workaround…
